I get a lot of emails from students asking for advice about how to move forward in the medical school admissions process. Here are a number of the most commonly asked questions answered.
Should I apply early decision (EDP)?
This is, of course, entirely up to you. If there is only one school you would possibly want to attend, then early decision may be a good option for you. Many schools have early decision plans and the deadline is usually the first of August or shortly thereafter. Applicants are usually notified by definite date such as October 1. If you are a strong applicant and want to save money and save yourself the stress of waiting for a decision, this may be a good option.
